What score do I need?
It is a frequently asked question: “When will I have passed the GMAT?”. Since every Business School or University (and each program) requires a different score, there is not one answer to this question that applies to everyone.
Early 2024 the "GMAT" changed to "GMAT Focus", a new test format with a different scoring mechanism. Please make sure to thoroughly check admission requirements regularly to make sure they have not been changed.

Your score on the GMAT will always be between 205 and 805. Your score will be based on your result on the Data Insights, Verbal and Quantitative sections. These three subscores per section are based on:
1) The number of questions answered
2) Whether the answers are correct or incorrect
3) the difficulty and other parameters of the question
In general, this means you need to become sufficient at all 3 subjects, and to further improve your score you need to excel on subjects you're good at.
